Wish List For 2010!

Posted by Faye |

A baby! of course it's on the top of the list! We're been praying for it for a year now, my friends and family are praying for it as well. I know in God's time it will be given to us :) Anyway, I was very emotional the other day when i received a phone call from a cousin she told me that my grandma's cousin died and a few days after her brother died too. These two oldies are very dear to my grandma, they grew up together. She's kinda depress and I'm worried about her. I tried to cheer her up but I know there's a pain deep inside her. I'm praying and asking the Lord to give my grandma a chance to see my baby, to hug her and I want them to a have a photograph together. I'm not allowed to be pregnant in three months time because of the vaccine that I had yesterday. But I know I have a feeling that I will be pregnant this year ;) I believe!:)

This nice townhome is on the second list :)
Canon 5D! (Maybe if I'm already earning from photography my husband will agree to buy this :)

Any of these LV bags!:) I'm convincing my husband that I want another LV bag but ofcourse he said no! LOL

A new watch! I really want this Technomarine Moonsun Ladies Chronograph watch since 2007. I saw this nice watch when we went to HK, a friend bought this for Php12k! Isn't affordable for a technomarine watch?:) I'm saving for the wedding then so I just ignored this eye candy watch. Well, I just wish I bought it!

My husband and I love to travel! And Europe vacation is on our wish list, not for 2010 but in three years time :) We agreed that we'll celebrating our 5th year Anniversary in Europe!:) I hope it will push through! I can't wait to see the nice places there!!:)

I know it's not easy to have these all :) We're going to work hard for it and I will make sure that wish list #1 will be the top priority :)

Andrew Mathews : Peace of Mind

Posted by Faye |

This is one of my favorite from Andrew Mathews' Newsletter and I love to share it with you :)

Newsletter Cartoon

Peace of Mind

If you were to ask your neighbor,
"What would give you peace of mind?" he might tell you,
"A vacation in Bermuda!" or
"An extra hundred grand would give me peace!", or
"A new Ferrari would make me content!"

But going places – and getting stuff – is usually a temporary solution ...

Let's say you buy a lottery ticket and by some miracle you win your dream Ferrari.
Today you are content.
Tomorrow you are saying,
"If I could just catch that little punk who scratched it in the car park!"

Peace of mind rarely comes from getting more stuff.
Getting more stuff usually leads to wanting even more stuff!

Peace of mind starts with being grateful for what you have right now.

GRATITUDE is POWER, and here's why ...

When you are thankful for what you have -
for the friends you have, and for the things you've got,
you attract more good people and good things.

People who always complain about what they DON'T HAVE, stay stuck.
Complainers attract more things to complain about!

It is a law of life.
It's hard to explain, but you can observe it around you.
We get more of what we dwell upon.

That's why all the spiritual masters have taught the same lesson ...
"Start by being thankful. Be happy with what you have now,
and more will come your way."

It's practical advice.

IN A NUTSHELL

Every time you say a silent "thank you" you become more peaceful – and more powerful.

Andrew's book helped me in so many ways :) It taught me to stop whining and count my blessings :) It also taught me to always look at the bigger picture and always weigh things before to decide. And the most important things is I learned to be contented for what I have and be thankful :)

How about you? Do you have peace of mind?:) I hope you do :)

Have a nice day!
